. apo-weekly-challenge.deviantar… The theme of this Challenge was to create something in honor of and to pay tribute to Nelson Mandela, a wonderful human being who passed away on Dec 5, 2013. He was an amazing individual and someone who taught us that reconciliation and understanding will get you so much further than hate and persecution. RIP, Mr. Mandela. We are a lesser world without you.
I thought a mandala would be a good symbol for Mr. Mandela. I found this info on Mandela Project Organization's website: www.mandalaproject.org/What/
I also created a gradient out of the South African flag. So, the params include that gradient.
Created in Apophysis 7X (v14, I think) and postwork done in PhotoPlus X5.

The word "mandala" is from the classical Indian language of Sanskrit. Loosely translated to mean "circle," a mandala is far more than a simple shape. It represents wholeness, and can be seen as a model for the organizational structure of life itself--a cosmic diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite, the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds.
